The ABC Doll Club has been in existence for over 18 years originating with a small but devoted band of collectors in melbourne. The ABC Doll Club operates in all states of australia and membership is open to anyone 14 years or over.

Membership
There are five levels of membership -
- Single membership - entitles member to a membership card; six newsletters per year; to attend get togethers and conventions
- Family membership - entitles up to three people to a membership card each; one copy only of six newsletters per year; to attend get togethers and conventions
- Associate membership - entitles member to a membership card; to attend get togethers but not to receive newsletters or attend conventions
- International membership - entitles member to all the benefits of single membership
- Corporate membership - entitles member to all the benefits of single membership plus free advertising in club newsletter
The Club's Aims
To promote Barbie® doll collecting and provide adult collectors of Barbie® dolls and other fashion dolls with ideas, information, education and resources. To aid all aspects of collecting through get togethers newsletters and the internet to foster friendships and a sharing of collecting and ideas to promote a working relationship and liaise with doll manufacturers and retailers with a view to providing better resources and information to collectors.
Office Bearers
The club is operated by a panel of office bearers -

- Webmaster
- Archivist
These office bearers are voted in by members. These are ably assisted by State Co-ordinators. Each State Co-ordinator is responsible for organising get-togethers which are fun ways to meet and share with other collectors. Get-togethers may be held in members homes or in public meeting places - check the calendar of events for details. Co-ordinators can also help you with some of your Barbie® questions or at least point you in the right direction. Each state possesses a library of reference items which members can borrow these include books and videos - contact your co-ordinator if interested.
Club Newsletter
Six times a year the newsletter is sent to members full of articles about fashion dolls and collectors plus pictures and rumours of new dolls, craft projects, collector profiles, calendar of get-togethers, classified advertising and more. Members who contribute articles to the newsletter are awarded points which can be redeemed for reduced membership fees the following year.
Conventions
Conventions are held at least every two years creating a wonderful atmosphere where members from all over the country can meet buy and sell take part in workshops, enter competitions and generally have fun. Past conventions have been held in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Canberra the next convention will be held on the Gold Coast, Queensland in 2011.
