Registration requirements - Registrations are available only to ABC Doll Club members. Delegates must be 14 years or above as at 30th June 2013. Any non-member wishing to attend Convention must pay an additional $35 for ABC Doll Club membership. Membership applies to the year it is submitted and is due for renewal in December of that same year. Registrations will be accepted from 1st September 2011, registrations postmarked prior to this date will not be accepted. Delegate numbers are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first in, first served basis.
Delegate Fee - The fee per delegate is $330. This entitles the delegate to two lunches, one dinner, and all entertainment, activities, gifts and admittance to the competition & sales rooms. The delegate will have access to raffles and workshops which incur an extra charge. Each delegate will have the option to participate in the fashion show as well as the opportunity to be a table host. A deposit of $90 may be paid, the balance, payable in 4 installments, due by 14th June 2013.
Early Bird Payments - Delegates making payment in full by 14th October 2011 will qualify for an Early-bird discount of $30.
Convention Doll - The Convention Doll will be an exclusive, limited edition doll and will be restricted to one doll per delegate. The cost of the Convention Doll is $90 and the final date for doll orders will be 15th March 2013. A deposit of $45 may be paid, the balance, payable in 3 installments, due by 15th March 2013.
Payment - Payment may be made by cheque, money order or direct deposit, please see the Registration Form for details. If paying in installments, you will be contacted to arrange the frequency of the payments.
Dinner Guests - As numbers will be strictly limited at the Saturday night dinner, places for guests may be restricted. Your guest's name will go on a waiting list and may be allocated a place if one becomes available, on a first in first served basis. More details will be in the delegate booklet.
Accommodation Rates - The Grand Chancellor Hotel is offering delegates two room types Deluxe, $155 twin share including breakfast for one person ($170 including breakfast for two people) and Executive, $175 twin share including breakfast for one ($190 including breakfast for two people). Rollaway for a third person is $55 including breakfast. The hotel will endeavour to set aside one floor for delegate rooms. Please contact the hotel on (08) 8231 5552 if you wish . These rates will be available until 30 days prior to convention. More details about accommodation will be in the delegate booklet.
Doll Competition - Details regarding the Doll Competition will be available on the Convention website from November 2011 and will also appear in the November/December 2011 issue of the ABC Doll Club newsletter. These details will also be in your delegate booklet.
Workshops - There will be a range of exciting hands-on workshops available, at a nominal cost, where you will be able to learn new skills and take home whatever you have made. Details of the workshops and their booking will be in your delegate booklet.
Monday Excursion - To round off the weekend an optional excursion to Hahndorf, in the Adelaide hills, is planned for Monday, 12th August, 2013 for those who wish to take part in another fun element of our convention. Details will be in the delegate booklet.
Other Information - All other details regarding the fashion parade, travel information booklet which we expect to be sent to delegates at the end of February 2012.
Refund Policy - Delegates should advise of cancellation by letter or email before 1st June 2013. Cancellations made before 1st March 2013 will forfeit $40 of the registration payment/deposit. Cancellations made between 1st March, 2013 and 1st June, 2013 will forfeit $80. After 1st June, 2013, no refund will be available. No refund will be offered on the Convention Doll unless the doll can be resold.
